Top IT Staffing Companies in the USA, Ranked by Who Actually Sponsors H-1B
Every staffing firm says it sponsors. The Department of Labor publishes who actually does. Here are the 20 largest IT services and staffing sponsors by certified H-1B filings — and how to check any company yourself in two minutes.

In this guide (5 sections)
Every IT staffing company tells you it places people at great clients. Almost none of them tells you whether it actually sponsors visas, how many, or where its people end up working.
That information is public. The US Department of Labor publishes every certified labor condition application, with the employer's name and the worksite. This article ranks firms by that, and nothing else.

A few things jump out. Texas is the centre of gravity — Plano, Irving, Austin, Dallas and Richardson appear again and again, well ahead of the Bay Area for this category of employer. And the top of the table is dominated by the large India-headquartered services firms, which is exactly what you would expect but is rarely shown with numbers attached.
Reading these numbers properly
- A certified LCA is not a visa. It means the employer filed and DOL certified the wage and working conditions. The H-1B petition is a separate step at USCIS, and the cap lottery sits in front of it.
- Volume is not quality. A firm with 5,000 filings is not a better employer than one with 60. It is a bigger one. What volume does tell you is that the firm has a working immigration process and sponsors as a matter of routine.
- One filing can cover more than one worker, and firms file under several legal entity names. We merged the obvious duplicates; some will remain.
- This is one quarter. Hiring moves.
SRI Tech Solutions Inc.
IT staffing and consulting · NAICS 541511
SRI Tech Solutions places engineers across Tampa FL, Austin TX, Sunnyvale and Mountain View CA, Kansas City MO and Plano TX. The roles it files for are hands-on technical ones — Network Engineer, Software Developer, Test and QA Engineer, Pega Architect, Senior BI Engineer — rather than generic requisitions.
For a candidate the useful signal is not the raw number but the ratio: a firm of this size filing 61 certified LCAs in a single quarter is sponsoring as a matter of course, not as a rare exception.
This is a featured placement, and SRI Tech Solutions is not ranked #1–20 in the table above. The figures in this card are the firm's own record in the same DOL file used for the table, and we checked them before publishing. Companies can apply to be featured; positions in the data-ranked table are not for sale.
The mid-size firms the table hides
The file contains 13,169 IT services and staffing firms with at least one certified H-1B LCA this quarter. The twenty above account for a large share of the total, which means the overwhelming majority of sponsors are small and mid-size firms you will never see on a "top companies" list.
That matters, because those firms are often where a first US role actually comes from. A company filing 40–100 certified LCAs a quarter is sponsoring steadily; it is simply not big enough to appear near the top of a volume ranking.
What to ask a staffing firm before you sign
- "Have you filed certified LCAs in the last year, and under which legal entity name?" Then check that name in the DOL file yourself.
- "Will I be a W-2 employee of your company?" H-1B needs a petitioning employer and an employer–employee relationship. 1099 and corp-to-corp arrangements do not fit it — see our guide to reading US job posts.
- "Who pays the filing fees?" Certain H-1B costs are the employer's by regulation and may not be passed to the worker. Get the answer in writing.
- "Where is the worksite, and will there be an end client?" If you will sit at another company's site, that affects the filing. For L-1B there are specific rules about unaffiliated worksites — see our L-1 guide.
- "What happens between projects?" Being left unpaid on the bench while in H-1B status is a known problem. Ask how it is handled.
- "Will you support the green card process, and after how long?" PERM is the employer's filing, not yours — see our PERM and I-140 guide.
What we have not published
We have not ranked these firms by how good they are to work for. No federal dataset measures that, and we are not going to invent a score. We have also not published approval rates, salaries by employer, or bench policies — the LCA file does not contain them.
What this data answers is one narrow, useful question: does this company actually sponsor, and where does it place people? For everything else, talk to people who have worked there.
